Matt Hopkins, my father and I are going to Carpool this Sunday for SOSPAN 10.
Is anyone else needing transport?
Seems silly to take more cars than needed.

Hi Neema,
Im going to give it a go (I better get out for a run or 2 before then - other than running for the subway I haven't run since the marathon!). I did it the past two years and really enjoyed it (Firouz almost pipped me on the line last year!).
I can be at the club or whatever suits (I live in Whitchurch).

Does anybody know what time the race starts? I have agreed to give a lift to Katy Benson, Ai Lin and Howard but I cant for the life of me find the start time. I found a pretty map, great course descriptions and start times for previous years though. I just read in another thread that unfortunately Ai Lin is injured so cant run Sunday. So presumably its just Katy and Howard having a lift now so there is another space available. I just need to get my race pack off of Allen which he has very kindly given me and arrange a leaving time from the club. I need the start time to do this. I think I may want to be super early to make sure I have plenty of time to transfer a place park etc so I may aim to arrive 1 and a half hours early. I believe its not normally a crack of dawn start on this one. I'm really excited to do this as its my favourite distance and something different.That trek along the beach at the end looks a fair way mind!

Cheers Mat I was busy typing when you sent it. Its approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes drive so if we leave at about 8 we should get there for 9.30 at least. So we can meet at the club at 8 then. It allows for any delays and gives me plenty of time to sort sort my name transfer out. Good job its a late start! I will have had the car MOT'ed and serviced by then too so what could go wrong.
