I ran a solid ten mile in training last night but I want to get my speed up!

Im extending my long runs and im aiming to do two speed sessions a week instead of the occasional one.

I want to spend at least 2 hours on my feet on my long runs from now on. I will be using a very hilly route also that incorporates Leckwith hill.

I aim to start traing to have a decent second half of the year after the shambles I have had this year so far.RollEyes

I did my 2 hour run on Sunday and managed to cover 16 miles which is the furthest I have ran in ages.

I did a loop from Sully to Landough down Leckwith Hill and down a lovely footpath at the bottom to Penarth Road. I really enjoyed it and mentally felt great the the next day.

Unfortunately I have developed a bit of mucus at the top of my chest. It doesn't seem like much but it concerns me as I don't want it to get worse and trigger my Asthma. It took 2 months to fully recover last time.

I have two days off work so I'm going to rest up and hope it goes away.As a result I am going to have to leave the track (again).

The mind is determined but the body is weak. With a bit of luck I can make the club on Thursday.

Sorry to be a pain.
