A nice post script to this story.
Obviously Martin won the Welsh Over 60s title. Silver medal in the Over 60s went to Keith Powell (Cornelly Striders) in 65:14. Keith Powell is significant as he was the friend who persuaded Martin to run the Cornelly Striders 10km back in May 1990 - his first race as a senior. Keith also told me he used to beat Martin over a half mile when they were in school! Small world - isn't it?
