Hi there

We've had a request through the LCRC web site to help with a final year research project - it's a fairly simple Survey Monkey questionnaire link to here details as follows:

Quote:
I'm currently studying my final year of Psychology at Aberystwyth University and have chosen to do my dissertation study on the effects of exercise on mood.

I'm hoping to get various members of different running clubs to take 5 minutes to fill out my questionnaire before and after a run.

Would it be possible for you to circulate so that anyone who would be interested in could take part or contact me?

Any help would be really appreciated

Thank you very much

Danielle Crilly

Thanks,

t

Well my results make running sounds like a mixture of cocaine and Prozac. We should think of Thursdays as ' athletics anonymous'. If you think you're not addicted then try the CAGE screening questionnaire for alcoholism, but substitute running for drinking.

More than two "yes" responses indicate that the possibility of alcoholism should be investigated further. The questionnaire asks the following questions:

Have you ever felt you needed to Cut down on your drinking?
Have people Annoyed you by criticizing your drinking?
Have you ever felt Guilty about drinking?
Have you ever felt you needed a drink first thing in the morning to steady your nerves or to get rid of a hangover?

4/4 for me for running!

I worry about the validity of my response (mood before and after Sunday's Riverbank Rollinthemudathon)

Maybe its just the effect of all that cake? Happy to do a repeat study - and act as a control..
