If it's the first Sunday in December.... it must be the Cayman Islands Marathon.
Steve Speirs, now 51, originally from Willows High School, Cardiff (where he made his racing debut aged 15 at the 1982 Barry Half Marathon - where else?)will be defending his title.
Steve has the most amazing record in this event - 8 starts, and has never finished lower than second, with 3 wins in 2009, 2010 and 2016.
Way to go, Steve!
BTW, a lot of members still haven't met you, and Barry 40 is on 11 March 2018.
It will be great to return your racing roots and catch up with both family and extended family at the same time!
