Hi Ladies

I run in a shockabsorber bra like the one in the below link but it's no longer doing the trick at keeping everything still. Do any of you have any good recommendations for running bras for fuller busts?

JD shock absorber bra

I know that racer back type bras tend to be good but they have the hook at the top which I would struggle to do up. Maybe when i get to a size 8 haha :)

Any way, I'd appreciate it if anyone has any good reviews!

Thanks
Reanne

Running bras like trainners are indivual to the lady. You need to try alot on to find the right one for you. You might find some are better for the gym and short runs and some for longer runs. I wear shocker absorber bras but also beig well blessed I also put a crop top on top. I recomend not having the bra too tight especially in the summer when you may rub abit more due to sweating, also to update regualer as they can wear out like trainners. I also try and stay away from padding and bones, I'm not sure why the makers think we need all that when trainning. Don't forget to look in places like Tescos, Lidos etc as they often do running bras which are quite good. One of my best running bras cost a £1 in a discount shop while on hoilday.

The shockabsorber range would get my vote every time.
I use the racer back style (as shown via link below) - yes quite awkward to get on - and I will admit that when I'm in a hurry hubby is tasked with strapping me in! However unless you have mobility problems at the shoulder you should get there with a bit (ok a lot) of perseverance! It has gotten easier over time! I also find it helps to pin my hair up on my head when dressing in to one of these - else I trap my hair in the clasp! They're easy to take off as you only need to undo the back strap and undress over your head.
I've never had any problems with chafing or any other issue that I can think of.
I get mine at the outlet in Bridgend where they are cheaper than the high street and often buy one get one half price. They also offer a very good measuring service there which I find really helpful as I'm constantly changing size and the size of my sports bra is nothing like the size of my regular ones. Gosh, it's hard being a woman!

And no, this topic is not at all inappropriate, it's a very important item of running kit to get right and you're welcome to ask for advice of your fellow runners.

CJ :-)

After many years of Shock Absorber, a couple of years back I started buying mine in M&S. The latest couple I've had have a front zip, which I was sceptical about at first, fearing chafing, but no issues. Excellent fitting service (book in advance), then I send them out the changing room whilst I jump around like a lunatic texting out just how 'high impact' it is. Also like the fact you don't have to buy in boring white which will rapidly become unappealing grey. Also, like Tracey said, at times I've been known to wear both bra and a crop top (a godsend when pregnant/bf, no way I could have run otherwise!) http://www.marksandspenc...bras/sports-bras-n-byrt4

I used Schockabsorber for years but then switched to Run Breeze which have no seams at all and I personally think are fantastic, however, I'm not exactly well endowed in that department so may not be the best judge but they provide good wicking, wash well and are chaff free. They used to be just be available in black but they now come in a range of colours, their anti-blister socks are very good too. Tina

I too like the M&S bras.

Julie Scholey gave some good advice for my daughter (who is well blessed, as Tracy puts it) - wear two sports bras together.
