Firstly thankyou Phil for organising this for us and of course the organisers and marshals themselves.

Well done to everyone from the club who ran today I think you all deserve a pat on the back.

Well done to Martin Rees, Dave James and Elio Lepore on their Silver medals which were richly deserved!

Martins run was really quite something and once again he showed that hes a different class! I think some of the best Masters in Britain were in real trouble once he got going!

And a fabulous run by the ladies to finish 5th, congratulations to them also!

Thanks to Dave, Mat, and Marcus for stepping up to give us a team. No 3 miler would be complete for me without Hopkins coming along and beating me by at least 20 odd seconds.Wink

And well done to Mick for being ridiculously chipper at that ungodly time of the morning!

Well done to everyone who took part and feel free to add if you feel someone else deserves a mention.

This is a great event with a fantastic course and a club the size of ours should be winning more medals than we do. Birmingham is a 2 hour bus ride but there is a nice break at the services and plenty of socialising to be done en route.

The standard is great but there are plenty of talented individuals that could make up some extremely competative teams. Its the first time I have made the trip and I really enjoyed it today. I need to make more of an effort myself to attend club events but this is one I understand to be a bit neglected.

Just thought I should say.Smile

Thanks Phil for your considerable efforts in organising the teams, transport and encouragement.
Congratulations also to Mel and his able team (Chairman John, Eirian, Sue and Ralph) for their significant efforts in making the day such a pleasurable (if challenging) experience.

I thoroughly enjoyed the day too, excellent event against some of the very best the British veterans has to offer. Thanks Phil for giving me the opportunity to be part of the M35 team and for everybody who participated and marshalled it. Unbelievable performance from Martin Rees another incredible world class display there from him. Also we may have the beginning of one of the biggest rivalries too that could match Coe vs Ovett, Eubank vs Benn, Federer vs Nadal and that is the blockbuster this summer that is TUDOR-MAISEY VS HOPKINS BigGrin .
