I decided to run a Marathon tonight and went from Thornhill to Western Avenue, Past the club, right at the lights down to Hailey park and through to the club routes which lead into Tongwynlais, up the hill, left at the fork where the Black Cock is and down towards the long path that leads to the dual caridgeway and back. (Sorry if my directions are poor)

On the path I passed a gang of youths who were smelling of a very fragrant variety of tobacco. I almost fell over a branch on the path which I moved. I then had to Jump another and wasn't so lucky the third time but fortunately only bumped and grazed my right knee!

It really winds me up that they think it's amusing that some poor runner, cyclist or pedestrian could be hurt or seriously injured because of this! Even with the head torch you have very little time to see them coming!

Thanks James

I have done quite a few miles but my speed work is lacking to be honest. I will have to see if I can get down next week.

It's a bit foolish trying to go it alone when you have a good bit of support and camaraderie from visiting the club and track! Had a bit of a full schedule but should be able to do something next week.

I must say my girlfriend (Alyson) of the past 3 months has been incredibly supportive and has been a huge boost for me though! Although shes not much help with my speed work sessions as she doesent run! Smile
