Hi everyone

This year's Annual Dinner Dance Awards will be held on 11 March at the Zen Bar (7:30pm - 12pm). This is part of Cardiff Metropolitan University (Llandaff campus), more or less next to the club on Western Avenue.

Tickets are £15 per person and are available from Clare Johnson.

This year we will be providing hog roast (or roasted vegetable/halloumi wraps), potato wedges, salads as well as a selection of desserts. When buying your ticket, you will merely need to confirm whether you want the hog roast or the veggie option.

Music will be a DJ.

It's really difficult to be able to pick a weekend where people won't be racing so apologies for this in advance.

It will be really good for as many people as possible to come along, particularly to celebrate another successful year for the club.

Tickets can also be obtained from Janet Holmes and Julie Scholey if you don't see Clare

Sorry I didn't stick around last night after the run.

I will be at Parkrun tomorrow (followed by Costa), at Lliswerry Sunday and track on Tuesday evening if anyone would like to give me some money!

Could we have tickets available after the Handicap 10 when we're at the club for the AGM please?

Anyone can buy tickets whenever they want, when they see Clare, Janet, Julie (or myself) - whether that's at parkrun, Monday night hills. track etc. Tickets are being printed and will be available at Thursday's club run. Anyone who has already parted with their cash can collect their tickets then. I'll be at Lliswerry on Sunday as well so I can take your money then.
But, yes, tickets will be available from me at the AGM.

We have sold quite a few tickets already so we're expecting a good turnout.

Hi Kate/Claire

I paid for a ticket on the weekend (haven't got an actual ticket) but I won't be able to attend now as I'll be off to France that day for the half marathon, can I get a refund please? Cheers!

Hi Oli
Sorry for delayed response but refund should be no problem! Think you must have given your money to Clare so she'll sort out a refund for you. Good luck in the half.

Ticket update!!
Janet and I are selling tickets at parkrun on Saturday and Janet is at track on Tuesday so you can grab tickets then.
The deadline to pay for tickets is Thursday 4 March so tickets can be picked up on the Thursdays before then.

For those of you who are a bit unsure where Zen Bar is, its the big glass fronted building that's by the car park we use to warm up in on a Thursday night. The door to get in faces the car park.

Thanks for organising - but I rarely go out and worry about dress code

I'm thinking 'smart casual' as in (my default but possibly ironed) scruffy casual with a dash of 'scruffy formal'

Confused

Fashion tips greatly appreciated..

PS - Happy to take this one off-line Marcus, Alan..

I was thinking of purple flares (a la Hulk) and a beige long collared shirt...

Many thanks to Kate, Janet and Clare for tonight's dinner dance - Cardiff Met's Zen bar worked really well. All your hard work paid off. Tim did a fantastic job presenting the awards and it was very touching to have Liz Kirwan's parents present the female athlete of the year award, which we've named in her memory. Many thanks to all.
