After yet another successful weekend's racing at Elan Valley and Sospan 10MT (well done everyone!) you might be looking forward to the New Year and pencilling in a few races. Of course, given that On Line Entry is now the norm, races sell out all too quickly! One favourite of mine which I've often used as a warm up for London is the Wokingham Half Marathon.
Next year it's on Sunday 21 February so doesn't clash with the Gwent League (which has often happened in the past).
We won this event in 2012 (with Steve Paterson 70:36, Jerome Edwards 71:53, Stuart Crees 73:31 and Nick Dukes 74:39) and further back also won in 1999 and 2000 (placing 4 in 14).
I've just entered and noticed Stuart Crees and Nick Dukes already amongst those entered. This race gets around 3000 runners and is pretty quick. Something to consider? 10AM start and within easy reach of the M4.

Thanks for that Mick. Yeah, pretty fast course and a good set up.

I think the team of 2012 would be happy running those times again next year!
