Seeing the achievements of Dave Coles & Andy Blair amongst others on Saturday & them getting their shiny medals got me thinking am I Welsh Champs eligible? I am not Welsh but have lived here for 12+ years. I thought I was and the team medals from London in 2014 & 2013 made me think i was down as eligible but after a conversation with Welsh Athletics i am a bit confused! Is club eligbility different to indviduals?

resident unless you have represented somewhere else since a set date. You have to declare the grounds on the Welsh Athletics championship entry form. Joining the Welsh Masters Association makes you eligible for the Welsh Masters Athletic Association Championships including the annual five mile road championship held as part of the Old Father Time race. It also makes you eligible to represent the Welsh Masters in your age group.

Agree with Eirian. The residential qualification is normally 2 years, so I'm sure you qualify.

Just to say myself and Andy are not members of the Welsh Masters as advertised by Mike Davies etc for track events and were a little surprised to then be given gold medals for being Welsh Masters Champions. Delighted to receive them, maybe someone can explain, while there is confusion reigning!
