Bit later than usual, but now the Castles is done and dusted, its time to enjoy the hills again.

SAT 14 Man v Horse – 35.2km/ 1220m or 22 miles/ 4000ft BL/PM

Details: 11.00 am Pre-entry £25 individual runners, £60 relay teams of 3. £5 surcharge for EOD.
Venue: From the Square, Llanwrtyd Wells, Powys LD5 4RB (GR SN 879467)
Competing against horse and riders over a mountainous course.
£500 prize. Mementoes for finishers. Free Pasta Party.
Age limit: Over 18 (over 16 for relay)

Route not marked. Full kit required. Trophies. Cakes.Love
Age limit: Over 18

I'm going up for man v horse on saturday AM. as is Dave Coles, Libby and Andrew Davidson..

Hopefully it will be nay problem !

I've seen about 3 different versions of the distance.. one at 20,one at 22.6 and one at nearer 24.. so wait and see..

My long run for this weekend is scheduled for approx. 20 miles. I was tempted to throw a last minute hat in the MvH ring. Fortunately the 'entries are now closed' on the website stopped me long enough to see sense. :-)

you could always phone them up... room in the car if you want..

leaving probably around 7 to 730 from cardiff for 8-10 registation

Thanks for the very kind offer James. I'm going to stay sensible and do my long bike on Saturday morning and long run on Sunday.

I would advise you to leave plenty of time to get up there and get parked. Parking was pretty scarce when I went up for it before. Depends how far you're prepared to walk to/from the race.

ok thanks so 7am leave it is.. was thinking of leaving at 730 and arrive at 9.. so 7am should get us to buith by 830.. so enough time

Just two Les Croups ran this beautiful race around the Pen y Fan horseshoe on Sunday in glorious sunshine.
