If you want to see (and help at) something very different, this is the event for you.
As ever, after extensive negotiations, an incredibly talented field has been assembled.
They are from all parts of the UK, and beyond. Three of the athletes are Hungarian. One is Belgian.
Two are famous actors, though they may look very different here.
The Welsh Ultra Championship is up for grabs.
Five of the athletes are from our own club - surely, reason enough to come and support.
This race has been won by some incredibly talented athletes - three of whom have gone on to win world titles.
There is a genuine chance of a very fast time this year.
This is always a very labour intensive race, but if you've trained for many months to run 161 circuits - then it has to be right (you can't come back and do it again next week).

As I live nearby, have Sunday off work and aspire to doing this myself one day I would love to help!
Im sure it would be an education. Wont be at the club tomorrow though.

Thanks, Lyndon. Yes it is an education.
The determination is great to see - but then again, they wouldn't have entered if they weren't determined.
Preparation is the key. What could go wrong - and what am I going to do to make sure it doesn't.
Have a read through the programme (which are available on the day).
23 highly trained athletes with 23 very different reasons for being there.
And it's going to be 12 degrees. Bring your deck chair and sun block.
