A few people have asked me about, probably because I keep raving on about...

Details of this year's HLMM can be found here

All MMs are special, but this (Scottish Highlands, munro bagging and ceilidh at over night camp) growing in popularity. 5 different entry/race classes so the abilities of skilled orienteerer, wrily rambler, fit fell runner and (in our case) headless chicken all catered for. Most don't take seriously and the athmosphere is very relaxed - any excuse just to spend a weekend in one of the most beautiful parts of the UK (world?)

The location for this year's race is "one and half hours from Inverness" (the exact venue announced shortly before the race, as ever). Getting there, ironically, maybe easier than for other MMs (which typically involve a 6 hour+ M6 trip). So an Easyjet flight from Bristol to Inverness for Graeme and I, going Friday 25th (12:10 departure) returning Monday 28th (14:00 departure). We paid £45 each exc luggage but prices will go-up as the day gets closer.
