Well done to everyone who ran at Rose Inn (23).
A special well done to Oli on his first win in this race and in a PB 20:19.
Must have been a bit scary though being chased really hard by Charlotte Arter (3rd in 20:46), taking close to a minute off the ladies course record held for 20 years by Hayley Nash (who ran 2:35:39 for Wales in the Commonwealth Games Marathon in 1994).
Oli follows a great tradition of Croups winners in this race - Huw Evans, Jerome Edwards, Ed Donovan, Steve Paterson (2) Alun Williams and Julian Baker (5).
Other individuals for Croups in the frame in their age groups:
Matt Hurford - 2/M40; Andy Blair 2/M50; Elio Lepore 1/M60; Rob Evans 3/M60; Keith McGeoch 2/M65; Claire Jacobs 1/F40; Angela Champion 2/F40; Tina Rossiter 3/F55.
We finished third in both mens and ladies team events:
Men: Oli Williams, Matt Hurford, Andy Blair and Elio Lepore.
Ladies: Claire Jacobs, Angela Champion, Susan Bowes.
