Another great edition of Old Father Time, a great way to kick off the new year.
The weather wasn't great, but probably tougher for the officials than the runners.
As you can see, numbers were down this year, but the standards were high, with some keenly fought battles for the various age categories.
A good day for Croups on the competitive front, with Katie Beecher, Janet Holmes and Angharad Mair providing a clean sweep of the podium places.
Man-of-many-talents coach/commentator/as well as runner James Thie showed a clean pair of heels to the field with an impressive run in the conditions (having commentated at Nos Galan the previous evening). The men's top 3 were all previous winners of the race, and Croups Jerome Edwards should feel well pleased in inching away from Aberdare's Richie Gardiner in the closing stages.
So many thanks to everyone, especially all our hard working officials.

Finally, in his usual off-beat announcing style, Mick remarked on how many of the New Years Honours had been given to youngsters or to recipients unworthy of the accolades.
