Not bagged a place in a spring marathon? Amazingly, there are still places available for the 2015 Highlander - the friendliest and most scenic of weekends with the novelty of a cèilidh, liquid refreshment ('no better way to rehydrate') and much much more at overnight camp. Two pairs from LCRC so far entered, NickDal and GraemeDon, plus myself and WouterP. A bargain at £95 for two (includes two nights 'accommodation'..) The only prerequisites an easy-going race partner (who can remain on talking terms inspite of the odd spot of damp, bog wallow, blizzard, navigational carnage of the type I excel in..), tent (and other junk aka the 'kit list', some of which you may be able to borrow from Croupites whom enjoy nothing more than accumulating such clobbr), map/compass (and some knowledge of - though that's never stopped us in in the past..) - but most of all the ability to get lost in the wildest of places the UK has to offer. The start 'an hour and a half from Inverness' (details announced 25th March) - it will be somewhere very special though (always is) Five entry categories to suit all abilities - runnable terrain always in short supply (W&I will be mostly walking/crawling). But camera mandatory..

Feeling excited The race area have just been announced - Elphin, Sutherland, NW Highlands Geopark  Places still going (a weekend's worth of scenic fun for less than the price of a IAAF Half Marathon!)
