Ive been pondering..

.has anyone tryed or had- seen a difference using recovery tights.. I'm quite sceptical...but there seems to been many products on the same scheme...so it does make me wonder if there is something in it...

James if you ever try them let me know as I am thinking of getting a pair but they are pricey. But that's one of the up sides of being diddy you can still squeeze into children clothes. Don't worry not all my clothes are from children shops and I stopped shopping in Mother care years ago!

That my mother took me, aged 12, shopping in Mothercare for clothes for the school French exchange trip, still haunts me to this day Blushing

With apologies to James for going off topic

Probably more psychological for most people. If, for example, you have a muscle imbalance in the hips causing tight calves then they cannot possibly help in the long term. If you have scar tissue from previous injuries that every so often tighten up, then again, these cannot help.

I may be wrong but I believe these stem from DVT socks to help blood flow - not really an issue for most runners as activity pumps the blood.

Again, if suffering calf or indeed hamstring issues, sort the cause not the effect... BigGrin

Martin,

I guess my question goes along the lines that we know Ice baths work. The adverts for the recovery tights suggest they perform a simular function / concept to ice baths..

So is it fair that for recovery that the recovery tights dont work ?

I know the argument for compression socks etc.. on actually runnning.. i find compression socks just help keep me warm so i dont keen tights in the cold..
