Does anybody know whether you can just turn up in the day and do some running on the track after paying an entry fee?
Reason being is that in a few weeks I was going to drop my car off nearby for an MOT and thought I'd use the track for an hour instead of hanging around waiting for the car to be done.

Yes as long as Cardiff ACC or some other group are not using it. There is a gym and fitnes classes there too. It's easier nd cheaper to use than NAIC.

I'm very nearly there with my injury. I know I have just ran a Half but speed work and 5km's are different. Its all starting to come together. I have all my days free except this Thursday from now on as far as training is concerned! Its just a shame I'm going to be eaten alive by a Marathon on the 19th of April!  (Judging by today's 18 mile run!)

It doesn't open till 12 though, but it's nearly always available during the day.
