If last year is anything to go on No prizes, but a jolly good nosh up for free after the event. Almost all you can eat, the hot sausages rolls just keep coming.
Very relaxed, friendly event, one I would do for definite, if I wasn't running Snowdon on the same day.
Great race

Hi Oli

I have just seen your post which is too late for the Sugarloaf - sorry about that but I have been up North this weekend. The link below provides details of the kit requirements for Fell Running.

http://www.wfra.me.uk/WFRA%20Safety%202014.pdf

In essence you need to bring to the race the following and the organiser will state what is needed or not.

12 EQUIPMENT
All senior runners, and those junior runners competing in races in which seniors are competing, should arrive at races prepared to wear or carry all of the following “minimum best practice” equipment:
• WINDPROOF whole body cover (i.e. covering the body from head to ankles).
• Other body cover appropriate for the weather conditions, e.g. waterproof whole body cover.
• Map of the race route and surrounding area, and compass suitable for navigating the course.
• Footwear with suitable grip for mountain & fell conditions.
• Whistle.
• For all ‘Long’ races, emergency food is also required.

cheers

Cheers Simon. Didn't do sugarloaf in the end, my legs were trashed from circuits on Friday! Next year!
