Entries are now open for Newport. It will take place on the 1st March it will be sponsored by Adrimial. Entry is £26 for which you get a t-shirt. I m thinking of doing this next year if anyone wants to join me. Also there is a new route.

I don't know any races ( at least big races) that give refunds. Transfers are down to the organisers, some will some won't. It doesn't say anything about certification but it says that it's accurately measured and time chipped. There are also a lot of club runners in the photos but I know that doesn't always mean much. Also I don't think a company like Admiral would sponsor a race if there were too many problems with it, They have sponsored the Swansea 10k and that one of the top 10k in Britain. This is not to be confused with the marathon that took place a few years ago where there were a lot of problems.

It is organised by the same people who did the marathon. If it is a new course it will need to be measured, it hasn't been yet as i issue the certificates.

I can help you reach a conclusion on it. I will enter it and then you know that they will probably forget the timing chips, water or correct finish point. Have some sort of natural disaster or who knows perhaps even forget to turn up altogether! RollEyes

Well at least I have still have the Cardiff Half! Smile

Hey you can't say things like that! Anyway every race including London has it's teething problems, it's how they sort the problems out. When Cardiff started the organizers did not want to listen to experience help and we almost lost it if had not been for certain individuals.

I think Lyndon was making a comment on his luck with half-marathons as opposed to a comment regarding the organisation of any particular event.
