I will be running the Sarn Helen race, rolling hills not really a fell race more a trail/hill race

Roy - thanks so much for the advice, encouragement, infectious enthusiasm and sandwiches. There were several firsts for me today, first time in a hill race, first time I have had to climb over tied up gates mid race (while the farmer watched) and the first time I have seen a Croups runner entirely submerge in a six inch stream post race. I learned several lessons - sun cream only works on areas where it is applied - road shoes are borderline lethal on the open hill side and training to run down hill is as important as training to run up - though some of those descents would have challenged a gecko. Many thanks Roy for opening up a whole new world of pain. You are legend.
