I love this thread But now I'm really concerned about chip timing, those pesky chips have got to weigh more than 7g each. Have race organisers considered the terrible consequences of lop-sided runners or are we now going to have to wear a chip on each foot thereby producing nicely balanced runners but slowing everyone down due to the extra weight? I think we should be told

only read the OP so sorry if this doesnt make sense anymore...
depends what their tolerance is in manufacturing. 7g doesnt sound that much for a shoe which probably weighs several hundred grams. Is worth contacting the supplier but could be within their tolerance range.
