Aye, i am in for that if needed (and if the wife and kids don't want to come along for the ride). I have a c4 grand picasso that can seat a few people in if needed. **EDIT** By the way, that link doesn't work James. Edited by user 06 April 2014 17:51:33(UTC)

Thanks for offer James and Meurig. Have entered and I hope to get around but I will have to divert after to pick up Nick from an orienteering event. It's one of my favourites, hilly in places but very scenic

Yes, I can car pool for this. One seat already taken by Clive Osmond, so 2 more seats available. I'll be at the club on Thurs. Edited by user 07 April 2014 16:14:15(UTC)

What time are you guys planning to be at the club on Sunday?
I believe the race kicks off at 11am so I was thinking of getting to the race HQ about an hour early to make sure I am prepped.
With the approximate 1 hour travel time (according to Google Maps anyway) I was thinking of leaving the club at about 08:45 - 09:00. Does this seem about right to you guys or is it too early / late?
If anyone wants a lift just shout or should we just see who has space on the Sunday AM and pile into cars as needed to keep it green?
Cheers Marcus

Marcus. I think 845 is reasonable. Parking can be a bit tight so really not worth starting any later. See you there. Weather looking prefect.

Grae, Wouter and I also car sharing - we'll mosey on by the clubhouse ~8:45 in case someone needs a hitch
One question - shoes; what to wear? Trail/fell/flip flops??

The more I hear people talking about this race, the more I think I may have made a rookie error in entering it ;)
Going to give it a go though!

I have an obsession about being on time.. Therefore I am currently parked in the University car park next door to the club as there appears to be a lot of cars there and 2 buses picking people up.

A really great run. 1 hour from home, some of Britain's finest views, hilly, fun and friendly. Tea and cakes on the lawn afterwards. Offa's 'orror is now my favourite race of all time. It is also the choice of the more experienced and thoughtful (aka old and slow) runners in the club. Well done Chepstow Harriers. Forget the glitter of VLM, the wise runner should head for the Wye.

Told you so..
~42km in 2:08:21 (Mo Farah, VLM) ~20km in 2:09:51 (Tim O, Offa's Orror)
But the Judas ankle, wobbly knee and dodgy hip survived (just)
And I bet even Mo didn't get given a cuppatea (with saucer..), lemon drizzle cake and a rather nice 'buff' at the finish
Wise words as ever Richard - and well run Matt H!
Will be back next year

> its now 1:1 on the Tim - wouter battle forget the fast boys this is where the action is

Thank God it's not just me whose legs are still sore.
I'm still walking like John Wayne after a long ride in the desert.
