Just remembered about this. "Everyone who entered the ballot for the 2021 Virgin Money London Marathon will find out on Monday 8 February if they have been successful or not. Unsuccessful applicants will have an exclusive window from Tuesday 9 February to Tuesday 16 February to enter the virtual event. General entries will open on Tuesday 16 February, on a first-come, first-served basis. Entries cost £28 (plus an additional £10 for entries outside the UK to cover international postage) and all finishers will receive their running numbers before the event and their coveted official finisher medal and T-shirt post event." VMLM, 5th October 2021, 50 000 places. Can the virtual marathon be used for Good for Age? - to be decided. See website page. I'm just wondering how the club ballot will work this year if we have any places. To enter the club ballot you previously had to hand in either your rejection letter or print off the rejection email to prove you'd entered the main ballot. This year they've changed the process so all anyone gets now is an email with a link that only when you click on it tells you if you were successful or not. There's nothing on there with your name or anything.

I got another email today confirming my rejection where the info was in the email itself rather than having to click on a link. Maybe we should all save these as evidence to enter the club ballot.

We normally get 4 places but thats depending on the number of club members we have, I wouldn’t be surprised if they cut the numbers down this year, guess time will tell.
