The following is an open letter to Tim O'Sullivan on behalf of the club committee. This letter is in response to a recent post on the Les Croupiers Facebook site (recently removed by the club's moderator) that was critical of Tim's conduct during the weekend of the 2019 Welsh Castles relay.
my letter has been placed on the forum with the consent of Tim O'Sullivan.
Dear Tim
The committee is very much aware of a recent post on the clubs Facebook site that was critical of your conduct during the 2019 Welsh Castles Relay.
I wish to inform you that we know the allegations against you are false and without any substance. There were difficulties processing results during
the Castles weekend but at no time was this due to failure on your part. There were factors well beyond your control that gave rise to complications
in processing the cumulative and final results.Race results were also not your area of responsibility ,your key role in 2019 was looking after the
race entry process, liaising with Captains of other clubs and ensuring we had teams on the start line in Caernarfon. But you were asked and kindly agreed, to take on multiple other roles as we were short of people on the ground this year. One of these included helping John Upstone obtain and
the stage results from the Timekeepers, which you did admirably in the face of unexpected difficulties.
Best wishes
John Griffin
Chair of Les Croupiers Running Club.
