Just wondering if anyone has heard from Welsh Athletics regarding the championships bit of this race? I can see I was first V35, and also that Croups were 2nd men's team, and others had age-grade achievements... but there's no information on Welsh Athletics website or anywhere else I can see, apart from the overall results on FullonSport website. I'm not bothered by not getting the medal (WA have form for this anyway) but it would be nice to see club members and others' achievements at least published somewhere. You get the feeling the Welsh Championships were very much an afterthought to the over-hyped race.

As a general piece of advice in situations like this, it's worth contacting Rob Sage at Welsh Athletics as he's a Croups member and I'm sure will be able to either add information on their website, or prompt the necessary Welsh Athletics personnel.

My personal opinion but Welsh athletics don't care about masters runners and don't care where you came in this or any other race. If Rob can work from the inside to change this then I wish him all the best.

I assumed that the age group medals would not be given out on the night as that's the way Welsh Championship medals have been given out in the past few years. I've had mine in the post before but getting it in an awards evening for with a bar and buffet was a good one for the Half Marathon Championships a few years ago at Leckwith track. Like Claire I think Welsh Athletics are not that interested in 35+ athletics prizes/ recognition. I've not seen or heard anything since the results and news via Facebook in the few days after.
