This is a recommendation for anyone who is considering selection for our Castles Relay teams, and hasn't yet run a qualifying race in 2017. Of course, there is the specially arranged 10 miles on Sunday 30 April, but you may not want to leave it to the last minute to qualify.
Teifi 10 starts and finishes at Lampeter Rugby Club. It's a traditional club runners event, usually attracting about 150 runners. It's an undulating course, which needs to be treated with respect, but fast times are possible (course record 50:12, Chris Davies, Telford).
Organised by Sarn Helen - E mail address below, £12 to enter.
If you're running London, don't run this, it's too near the big day.

Thanks for that, James. I think the profile makes it look a bit more daunting than it is. It's a challenging course which rewards patience.

the scale is miss leading.. its only 50-80 ft.. compare forest of dean today thats 400 ft changes..

I estimate max is 450ft lowest is 380 ft. at any point..

the elevation change on the handicap 10 is comparable around miles 8-9 and 1-2

I just intend to stay fit for the club 10 mile in April now! It will be easier than the handicap and I will be alot fitter than when I ran my Pb so fingers crossed I can make it to the start line fit!

I am hoping to move up a few places! Taking things steady this week as a precaution and will kick on again next week! Trying not to take things for granted but its hard not to get excited when things start going well! Its been alot of work and a long time!

I will be able to do track and run at the club now! My new job should cater for it anyway and my new boss is very understanding so all good!

Naturaly I wont have everything my own way but it will be a much better situation for me! Smile
