My Spanish is almost as good as my marathon running so thanks to Maria Zubizarreta for help with finding out about this race. Katie Beecher won this race in 5:27:14 and was 5.48 in front of the second lady. She was 27th overall.
Well done Katie on some great running.

Well done Katie,

For a marathon taking 5:27 by Katie it must have been hilly.

Was that the chip time or the gun time ?

There were also ultra distances so Katie must have run one of those.

No it was the 40k and it had 8000k of ascent. It was used previously for the skyrunning vertical kilometer series so by all accounts was/is very steep.

Deeply impressive but I'm still no wiser for reading the web link. Can the elusive Katie write a race report? Though only Ake is up to such things at the moment.
